Dr. Aileen Garibyan is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Rowan Center for Behavioral Medicine and serves as the Executive Director and a board member of Rowan Health System. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Law & Society from the University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Garibyan completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant University. With over fourteen years of experience in community mental health, Dr. Garibyan has held various roles including Therapist, Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Administrator. In these capacities, she has focused on program, policy, and staff development, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide individualized and evidence-based mental health services. Her expertise spans targeted case management, crisis intervention, and treatment services for a culturally diverse adult population facing mood disorders, psychosis disorders, trauma, loss/grief, relationship issues, parenting challenges, and anxiety disorders. Additionally, Dr. Garibyan has served as a Clinical Training Director for doctoral students from multiple local graduate programs, where she developed a comprehensive training curriculum. This curriculum was designed to equip psychologists-in-training with the skills necessary to provide individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention services to adults experiencing severe mental health impairments. In her role at Rowan Health System, Dr. Garibyan oversees the organization's education and clinical training program, ensuring that it fosters the professional growth of future clinicians. She is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of training that integrates both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing trainees to deliver exceptional care across various clinical settings. As the Executive Director and a board member, Dr. Garibyan is poised to make significant contributions to the organization’s mission of supporting children and adults with physical and mental health care needs.
